BFG by Friday, November 13. They have a short assignment over the last third of the book that will also be due on Friday. After they have completed the book, taken a Reading Counts quiz, and finished their last assignment they may start the cumulative project. This project is a dodecahedron project that is due on Tuesday, November 17. I think the children have really enjoyed reading The BFG. It will be so much fun to go see the play on November 17th. Have you turned in your child's permission slip?
We are continuing to work on our persuasive research projects. Each child is working on an issue and researching it. They will then write a persuasive research paper and present their information to the class. We are just in the beginning stages of research. Hopefully by the end of the week we will begin formulating our research paper.
Our next vocabulary test will be on November 13. It is over Lesson 8 in Caesar's English and the 3rd grade are working on the post word list. Please don't forget to remind your children to study the review page at the end of the chapter if you are doing Caesar's English.
